Meet Alyssa Fortin
Twin City Consulting is led by Alyssa Fortin, a human resources professional with broad experience across manufacturing, union environments, healthcare, and other complex workplaces. After more than a decade in HR, Alyssa saw the same pattern again and again: small businesses were facing serious people challenges without having the internal resources or expertise to handle them confidently.
She started Twin City Consulting to close that gap.
Rather than sending small businesses to large firms with layers, delays, and higher overhead, Alyssa built a more direct model. Clients work with a real person who understands both the strategic and practical sides of HR and can respond when issues actually happen.
Why Twin City Consulting exists
Alyssa founded Twin City Consulting in 2025 with a clear purpose: to provide small businesses with high-quality, practical HR support without the cost of a full-time internal team.
Her background in HR spans recruiting, employee and labor relations, policy development, workplace investigations, performance management, compensation analysis, and broader HR leadership. That experience grew even deeper through work in healthcare, where high regulatory expectations, operational complexity, and the importance of the work demanded thoughtful, high-level HR support.
Over time, Alyssa saw how often small and midsize businesses were left trying to solve important HR problems without enough guidance. She was approached about joining consulting firms, but chose instead to build her own company so she could deliver strong support more directly and keep it more accessible for the kinds of clients she most wanted to serve.
